Springs
A lowering spring is shorter and usually rated stiffer than the one it replaces, which is what stops a lowered vehicle riding on its bump stops. Fixed drop, engineered per vehicle.
Two things people ask. Cutting a factory spring gets you height and nothing else, at the cost of spring rate and any control over where it ends up. And a drop spring on a factory-length shock is a half-finished job, because the shock is now too long for the travel it has left.
