Crossmembers

Lifting the body away from the axles changes every driveline angle at once. A drop crossmember moves the mounting point back down so the transmission output and the driveshaft work in the range they were designed for.

This is bracket-kit territory, generally 4" and up. If your kit calls for one, it is part of the kit rather than an accessory.
