Strut Mounts & Bearings

The upper mount carries the weight of the corner and the bearing lets the strut rotate with the steering. Both are consumables, and both are already in your hands the moment a strut assembly is apart for a lowering spring.

Fitting a new spring onto a worn mount is the common false economy here. The symptom is a clonk over bumps or a notchy steering feel, and the fix is the second time you take the same strut out.
