Shocks
A lifted truck moves the suspension through a different part of its travel, and a factory-length shock does not follow it. Extended too far it tops out at full droop; valved for stock weight and stock geometry it is soft where the new setup needs control.
These are shocks built for that: longer bodies to cover the extra travel, and damping chosen for the ride height rather than adapted to it. Off-road and trail lines carry heavier valving for washboard and impact, where a street shock would fade.
If your kit already came with shocks, they were matched to it and you do not need these. This category is for lifts that did not include them, spacer lifts that outgrew the factory dampers, and worn shocks on a truck that is already up.
