Lowering
How far down you go decides the rest of the job: whether the front drop can come from a spindle or has to come from the spring, whether the rear axle still has somewhere to travel, and whether the shocks that came off the truck are short enough to put back on. This is the whole lowering range in one place, from a 1" spring to a flip kit and a C-notch.

How low can this truck actually go?
Every drop has a point where bolt-on stops being enough. Pick the row that matches what you want, and it tells you what the job really involves.
Mild — up to 2″/4″
Springs, a drop spindle or blocks and shackles. Bolt-on with hand tools, reversible, and the factory geometry mostly survives. Shocks short enough for the new height are the one thing not to skip, and an alignment afterwards is part of the job.
SHOP LOWERING KITSDeep — 3″/5″ and beyond
The rear moves to a flip kit, because blocks and shackles have run out. The axle now travels far enough to reach the frame, so a C-notch goes in at the same time. This is a weekend with a welder, not an afternoon.
SHOP FLIP KITSAdjustable — coilovers
Height and damping set together rather than chosen for you. Worth it when you are matching a specific wheel and tire package, or want the option to change your mind later without buying parts twice.
